Killarney made it three-in-a-row in Munster Conference 2 by defeating visitors Kanturk last Saturday. The teams were level on 12 points before the game with 3 wins from 4 matches behind leaders Corca Dhuibhne.
After the early tussles to exert dominance, Killarney took the lead through a score from Alex O'Leary. Although not converted, Killarney then extended their lead with a second try from Alex, with Finn Kennelly converting to put the score at 12-0

The crucial score came shortly before half-time, Finn Kennelly intercepted on halfway and raced away under the posts. Half time score to 17-0.

With a big lead the task for Killarney after half time was more to negotiate the strong breeze in their faces, and keep their opponents at arm's length. Two further tries - a third from Alex O'Leary and the last from Shane O'Sullivan - followed with one conversion from Finn Kennelly.
