Oh my God what is that noise, um, what time is it at all?
The bloody alarm clock’s going off, or is someone trying to call?
It’s half past 6 on Sunday morn’ - another long road trip ahead.
To hit the road veering east, and leave the comfort of the bed.
We collect sleepy heads along the way, ‘Morning’ is all that’s heard.
As bags and pillows pile into cars, could be a quiet trip without a word!
We head for Cork and further East, Waterpark are todays challenge.
A show down at noon, we will be ready and for every ball we’ll scavenge!
With warms ups done and jerseys on, the excitement starts to grow.
The whistle blows and we kick off, the game just ebbs and flows.
After a while we strike first with a lovely hard fought try.
With great work from all the team, Kayleigh gets us over the line!
Eleana is in flying form, her bursts of speed a pure joy to watch.
A fantastic try her just reward, we’re really up for this match!
The home side take the fight to us with two tries of their own.
We end the first third two points behind, but there’s not a single frown!
The whistle blows, we’re off again, Captain Lily scores her first of two.
Waterpark are back, a fine score - they’re just ahead by a few.
Kayleigh finishes a team worked try, we draw ahead once more!
Our girls really find their feet as scrumhalf Aisling bags a stunning score.
Orna is playing a blinder, solid tackles, fighting for every ball.
Becca scores a cracking try under the posts to the cheers of all!
The forwards really shine today, Millie was simply as tough as teak.
And Cara’s tackling helped ensure no other score was leaked!
As the game progressed it really flowed, with Becci scoring a fine try.
Molly is in with a super score of her own as the minutes just fly by.
The joy at the final whistle made the long, long trip worthwhile.
The team talk and team photos, and every selfie filled with smiles!

Very well done to all our girls who really stepped it up today.
Our coaches Jenna and Liam are so very proud, we really have to say!
A FaceTime to Paidi who was was away, the smiles just said it all.
Thanks to Anne and Clodagh, and all the support shouting with every ball!
Then it was time for the long road home, a time to rest, a bite to eat.
A time to sit and digest the game and rest those weary feet.
Onwards we go, what comes next we must wait and see.
But have no fear, it will be hard to stop the U18 girls of KRFC!
