Killarney RFC would like to offer its deepest heartfelt condolences to the family of our former Chairman, president and clubman Sean O'Sullivan (late of Killarney and Kilgarvan), on his recent sad passing. Originally from Kilgarvan, Sean married well known Killarney woman Peggy Courtney (sister of renowned solicitor Donal Courtney) and they lived at Orchard close in Countess Road. He worked through the ranks of the postal service to become Postmaster in Killarney.
He became involved in the resurrection of our rugby club in the 1950s and again in 1983. He has held every official position in the club bar as a player but supported countless captains in every possible way. The club owes Sean a great deal of thanks for his commitment and support both in personal terms and financial. He was a thorough gentleman and a great ambassador for the club hosting our many visitors and friends over the decades.
